Maruman VifArt Sketchbook Series

The Maruman VifArt Sketchbook series is designed for watercolor and mixed-media applications, featuring high-quality, Japanese-made paper with excellent durability. Paper is designed to avoid any bleeding or blurring and enables easy movement of colors. The surface is strengthened to prevent the paper from peeling due to the eraser and repeated brush strokes. The whiteness is a nice natural white.

It comes in three types of paper texture (surface unevenness) – Rough, Medium, and Smooth – to create the reproducibility and expression of the painting.

Vif-Art Watercolor Paper (Middle-eye)

The paper surface has a natural and moderate unevenness, allowing you to try out typical watercolor effects.

This is the most popular paper texture, with a fine texture that allows you to draw in even the smallest details.
Balanced Surface Texture – Medium (Cold Press) texture offers a perfect mix of smoothness and grip, ideal for controlled brushwork.
Excellent Absorbency – Holds water well, allowing multiple washes without warping or feathering.
